Action selector
The action selector isn't a building block per se, but it likes to hang with the building blocks (cool kids).
There are several places in Command AI where you can create a button or link that does something:
- Recommendation set
- Additional resources
- Nudge buttons
- Checklist item CTAs
- Copilot fallback response
- Copilot negative feedback fallback
- Answer CTA
All of these things facilitate the same set of possible things, or actions, grouped into the following categories.
Navigation
Visit link
Here you can enter any URL. Don't forget to specify the protocol (usually https://
) when it's an absolute URL.
Click element
Specify an element on the page to click on, using our click recorder (if you're using our extension) or entering a CSS selector or Xpath directly.
Experiences
Show nudge
Trigger any nudge (tour, survey, announcement). Nudges that are published will include a green dot, while unpublished nudges will include a yellow dot.
Show checklist
Trigger any checklist. Checklists that are published will include a green dot, while unpublished checklists will include a yellow dot.
Show article or file
Select any synced article. When selected, the article will open up in a window on the right side of the screen. If you're using HelpHub, selecting the article will open up HelpHub.
Play video
Select any synced video. When selected, the video will open up in a window on the right side of the screen. If you're using HelpHub, selecting the article will open up HelpHub.
Visit page
This will work similar to Visit link but lets you select a pre-defined page. An advantage to using a Page is that you can conditionally display it for users by setting an availability rule.
